Sennen
Cove lies in the south-east corner of Whitesand Bay and is sheltered
from the prevailing westerlies by the bulk of Pedn-men-du Cliff.
Sennen
Cove was originally established as a fishing station, and at the
end of the nineteenth century many men and women were employed in
the pilchard fishery. The men catching the fish and the women processing
and packing them.
Tourism is now the main trade of the Sennen Cove, although a small
commercial fishing fleet remains, and many people will visit the
Cove whilst visiting Land's End a little over a mile away.
